Compton First HBCU College Fair recap!

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, L.I.B.B.Y E Resources attended the Compton First HBCU College Fair in Compton, Calif as a Community Sponsor.

This event wasn’t just about informing Juniors and Seniors in the Compton community about HBCU’s, it was about networking, immersing yourself into the HBCU experience and allowing the youth dream about life outside of Compton and in their dorm rooms at an HBCU.  

The pride each HBCU alumni expresssed for their Alma mater was evident and each school, fraternity and sorority represented their organization with pride, excitement and knowledge. You could feel the enthusiasm around the room. Every Alumni in attendance said joining an HBCU was one of the best decisions they made in their life. Let that sink in, if you someome considering going to an HBCU.  

The day was also filled with laughter, smiles, good food, prize giveaways and a live step show.

The event was brought to you by Upper Echelon  Management and hosted by Stina Dias and Ray Cunningham. Mayor Pro Tem Andrew Spicer was in attendance and connected with each organization, and the community directly.

From what we can tell, this is only the beginning for the future Compton’s youth. We look forward to partnering with Upper Echelon  Management and its founder Eboni Stephens and team in the future!
